Learning - Teaching - Training activity

CHANIA

The 1st Learning/Teaching/Training Activities meeting will be held in Chania, Greece from 13th to 19th October 2019. The main objectives of the activities are:

  • to develop partners’ knowledge about the local wine making process

  • to bring partners into contact with local products

  • to sensitize students to the topic of innovation and entrepreneurship

  • to allow partners to interact with each other and exchange ideas about the project activities

  • to encourage partners to familiarize with the host country culture

  • to improve communication, collaboration and presentation skills

Programme

Sunday, 13 October

  • Arrival, meeting host families, checking in

Monday, 14 October

  • Arrival at 5th Gymnasium of Chania

  • Welcoming ceremony

  • Ice-breaking games, project topic-based activities

  • ‘Let me show you my area’: a tour with our students as guides, treasure hunt game, archaeological museum of Chania

Tuesday, 15 October

  • Arrival at 5th Gymnasium of Chania

  • ‘The olive tree and olive oil in Crete’ a programme of the Environmental Centre of Vamos’

  • Visit to the archeaological site of Aptera

Wednesday, 16 October

  • Arrival at 5th Gymnasium of Chania

  • Day trip to Heraklion

  • Visit to the Heraklion Archaeological Museum and Knossos.

  • A walk around Heraklion city

Thursday, 17 October

  • Arrival at 5° Gymnasium of Chania.

  • Visit to a local winery, guided tour to the premises, wine tasting, picnic

Friday, 18 October

  • Arrival at 5 Gymnasium of Chania

  • Interview with the partners’ teams - Workshop - developing team skills, collaboration, creativity

  • Evaluation of the project

  • Farewell party, inviting partners to experience local culture through dance, music and Cretan cuisine

Saturday, 19 October

  • Departure
