Rebeca Martínez Martínez Ausejo has presented her Bachelor thesis “Analysis and optimization of extraction of azoic colorants in wines for fraud detection” at the Faculty of Science of the University of Burgos on 15th July 2019. The Bachelor thesis deals with the development of an analytical method to extract and determine azoic food colorants in wines. The extraction of E123, E124 and E129 from wines with wool, based on Arata-Posseto’s method, is optimized by using the experimental design methodology. A qualitative analysis by thin layer chromatography is carried out to assess the extraction efficiency of the extraction. Next, the quantitative analysis is approached by UV-Vis. spectrophotometry and partial least squares (PLS) regression.

The Bachelor thesis is available on the web of the University of Burgos (http://hdl.handle.net/10259/5143)
